Today, Inter Miami announced the signing of 2025 Major League Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair in a move that put the league on notice.
St. Clair's contract will run through the end of the 2026 season, with an option to extend into the 2027 mini Spring season before the league switches to a Summer to Spring calendar.

The signing comes after a flurry of offseason moves, including the signing of right-back Facundo Mura and the re-signing of Homegrown defender Ian Fray.
Additionally, though Miami signed St. Clair, according Cesar Luis Merlo, the Herons will also keep MLS Cup-winning goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo on the roster as well.
While Rios Novo heavily contributed during Miami's championship run, Miami's front office opted to pursue St. Clair to further reinforce its defense. With St. Clair's presence on the roster, the Herons now have a proven, elite shot stopper in goal.
How will St. Clair fit in with Miami defensively? With ease and then some.
According to fbref, the Canadian international boasts an impressive 79 percent save percentage, putting him in the 90th percentile of all goalkeepers in the league.
With Miami looking to challenge for the CONCACAF Champions Cup this year, St. Clair's shot- stopping ability will drastically improve the Heron's already solid defensive line.
