The accolades and honors continue to pile up for Lionel Messi.

Ahead of their Nu Stadium debut on April 4th, Inter Miami unveiled the “Leo Messi Stand,” in celebration of the Argentine’s achievements for not just Miami, but globally.

“Traditionally, tributes look to the past. They are built from nostalgia. From memory. This one is different,” Inter Miami Communications said in their press release.

“This one is born from the present. From what is happening right now. From what you feel every time Leo steps onto the pitch. Recognizing someone is not always about closing a chapter. Sometimes it is about realizing you are witnessing something unique.”

The stands will be located in sections 117 to 121 in the stadium’s lower bowl and 217 to 223 in the upper bowl.

The Nu Stadium is set to open when Inter Miami takes on Austin FC next Saturday.
