3) Evander – Portland Timbers

Next up is Brazilian Evander, who signed for Portland Timbers in January 2023 from Danish clun Midtjylland, so has just completed his second MLS season, and he was a huge part in why the side from Oregon scraped a play-off place, and in doing so lost 5-0 to Vancouver Whitecaps. So it’s safe to say they’d have been nowhere near the play-offs if it wasn’t for the 26-year-old.

He scored 15 goals and provided as many assists which isn’t really heard of from a box to box midfielder. He created 23 big chances and provided 3.2 key passes per game, whilst also getting past his opponent nearly half the time and averaging just over a tackle each game. Evander also played 2549 out of a possible 3060 minutes, proving to be very avaliable and consistent for coach Phil Neville.
