Where Inter Miami Wound Up In the Tournament

The Champions Cup is different from the Champions League because the Cup is a tournament-style format whereas the Champions League starts with group stages — similar to the World Cup.

By way of being seeded third overall, Inter Miami is at the bottom of the bracket and will take on the winner of Nashville SC and Dominican Republic side Moca FC.

First-round matches will consist of a home and away leg with the winner advancing on goal total.

The round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals are set up in a similar home and away fashion.

The finals of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup will be June 2.

The winner of the Champions Cup will earn a berth in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup along with 2021 winner Monterrey, 2022 winner Seattle Sounders FC and 2023 winner Leon.

Of note, Leon is the defending champion but did not qualify for the 2024 competition and cannot defend its title.

Round one of the competition will take place in February with the round of 16 starting March 5-7.
