Inter Miami Gets The Friendlies It Wants
The first match Inter Miami got before the 2024 season was a preseason matchup with the El Salvador men’s national team in San Salvador.
El Salvador recently competed in the 2023 Concacaf Nations League where they were ranked 10th in the confederation.
They were drawn into Group A of the group stage, but going 0-3-1 earned then relegation into League B of the 2024-2025 Nations League.
The second friendly for Inter Miami sees them travel to China to take on a group of Hong Kong First Division players in a friendly in February.
There are 12 teams in the Hong Kong First Division — which is currently led by Kowloon City with 19 points on seven matches played. They are a full point up on Central & Western who have 18 points on eight matches played.
Outside of that, there is little known about the Hong Kong First Division.
The friendly, itself, will be played on Feb. 4 at Hong Kong Stadium. Before that, Inter Miami will have an open training session on Feb. 3.
Tickets for the Hong Kong friendly will go on sale Dec. 15 on Klook — the ticketing partner for the event.
There has been no other word on whether the team will schedule other friendlies before the 2024 MLS season kicks off in February.
Roll on, la familia… roll on.
