If you are a big video game and soccer nerd… like me… then today is sort of like Thanksgiving as EA Sports dropped its initial player ratings for its new FC 24 video game.

EA Sports Unveils FC 24 Player Ratings

Major League Soccer players are notoriously underrated when it comes to the FIFA video game franchise.

I think Nashville SC defender Walker Zimmerman was the last MLS-based player I got in a pack that rated over 80.

While you can train your players up in the game to get higher ratings, the initial ratings from EA Sports are a good indicator into just what the video game company thinks of players.

For its latest release, Inter Miami fans hit the video game jackpot as the Herons claim the top three rankings of all players in MLS.

Now, for the record, some of the top international players — both male and female — are rated 91:

And just to add insult to injury, Spain Women’s National Team player Alexia Putellas is actually rated higher than Lionel Messi protagonist Cristiano Ronaldo.

Insert laugh track here.

In fact, someone on the X-verse (or Twitterverse, or whatever it’s called) noted it was the first time since 2007 that Ronaldo was rated below 90.

Again, insert laugh track here (as you can see, I have little love for Ronaldo).
