The defender came to the club in July of this year. Since his debut, David Martinez's performance has been on the rise. With his low amount of games played, he has become the second-best defender in the team, behind Jordi Alba. From the first minute, fans could watch that Martinez was different.

Martinez played five games with the Herons, averaging a good performance in every game. His worst game was against Tigres. Despite this being his poorest game, he was one of the best on the field.

I'm not counting the match against Toronto because he only played 27 minutes after getting the red card. However, it was notorious that the defense was flawless without him on the field. Inter Miami did the right thing to bring this payer into a position they desperately needed to fill.
