Marcelo Chelo Weigandt
Probably the most controversial player in the team. ¿Why do I say this? When Weigandt arrived at the club in March, he came with an incredible level. Rapidly, he became the starting right-back of the Herons, but these last couple of months were different for Chelo.
Alternating good and bad performances, Weigandt can't be trusted to play more than two games at a high level. I don't know if it's the pressure of knowing Ian Fray is back after his injury or if it's something personal, but we never saw Chelo play like he did at the beginning of the year.
That's a shame because Marcelo Weigandt has proved he can be the player Miami needs on the right side of the court, but his recent performances say otherwise. However, we also have to name the match against Cincinnati. Chelo played like he used to play. Firm in defense and helping in attack. That's the version of Chelo Inter Miami needs. Without hesitation when getting the ball and the physicality on defense.
I have trust that Weigandt will help the Herons in the playoffs.
