On Saturday afternoon, Inter Miami traveled across the border to face Toronto on matchday 33 of 34 in the 2024 MLS season. With a grueling game against Columbus Crew not even 72 hours previously, and the fact the supports shield was secured, Martino made changes for this game, with both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez among the substitutes.

For this game, he went with a line up of; Ustari; Aviles, Kryvstov, Allen; Gressel, Ruiz, Cremaschi, Negri; Rojas, Taylor, Campana.

It was a very slow start to the game for Inter Miami, understandably so with the changes, with Campana's shot from a corner after 29 minutes their first attempt of the game. The sides went into the halftime break goalless in a half that could have sent a glass eye to sleep.

On the hour mark, Messi was introduced to the action, replacing Taylor as Martino looked to freshen things up, having been a very dull game up till then. Busquets also replaced Ruiz in a double change. 10 minutes later, Yannick Bright replaced Rojas and Luis Suarez replaced Cremaschi.

Ten minutes from time, Diego Gomez replaced Gressel, who had not played very well, as Martino went for the jugular.

He would eventually be rewarded, as three minutes into stoppage time, Suarez rolled back the years and teed up Campana to score the winner and give Inter Miami all three points on the road.

This win makes for plenty of narrative going into the final game of the regular season. Inter Miami now have 71 points, and need one win to set the all time MLS record, which currently stands at 73. That record is set by New England Revolution. The final game of the season for Inter Miami is against.. New England Revolution. How great would it be to secure the win and take their record?

Despite the supporters shield now being wrapped up, there will be plenty of motivation for Inter Miami to create history in the final game. There will also be plenty of motivation and incenvtive on New England's Revolution's end to protect their own history, even if they don't have anything to play for this season.

Vamos Inter Miami.
