Speaking of international duty, Messi and Farias aren't the only call-ups for FIFA's October window (Oct. 9-17); Edison Azcona (Dominican Republic), Diego Gomez (Paraguay), Josef Martinez (Venezuela), Kamal Miller (Canada), David Ruiz (Honduras), and Robert Taylor (Finland) all have been called to represent their countries. If Major League Soccer hopes to become a first-choice league for world class players, it really must stop scheduling matches during FIFA windows.
