Ruiz participated in the U.S. U-19 Men’s Youth National Team training camp in January 2023 and in Honduras’ U-20 training camp in April 2023. Most recently, Ruiz was called up to represent Honduras in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup from May 20 to June 11 in Argentina, where he started one game and scored the opening goal against South Korea in the group stage of the tournament.

Ruiz made two appearances for the Inter Miami senior team on short-term loans this season before officially signing as a Homegrown Player in late April. He’s made 22 total appearances, 13 of them starts, across all competitions while registering a goal and assist, and helping the team win the 2023 Leagues Cup title.

Honduras will play its first CONCACAF Nations League match at Jamaica at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 8, and will host Grenada at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12.
