Count ‘Captain America’ among Lionel Messi’s fans

Christian Pulisic, the United States Men’s National Team captain, is called “Captain America” as much for his Superman good looks and dynamic style as the captain’s armband. During a recent interview he shared his excitement to have Lionel Messi playing first-division football in the U.S.

"It absolutely helps. I mean obviously all the games that he's playing in MLS and these cups become massive games," he said. "It seems like everyone's there, it's exciting. It's fun.

"(Messi’s playing in MLS is) only a positive thing for this country, so I'm enjoying watching and following that Miami path…. it's fun to see how Messi has come in and helped lift the level so much of that team as well."
