Inter Miami Falls In MLS Power Ratings

Fresh off a 1-1 draw in the Florida Derby at Orlando City, MLS Soccer writers decided to penalize Inter Miami in their recent power ratings.

The Herons fell two spots to No. 8, just ahead of rising Seattle Sounders FC and behind Los Angeles FC and Philadelphia Union — two teams Inter Miami has beaten since the close of the July transfer window.

To put it in perspective, that would mean Inter Miami should be in a prime spot in the MLS Cup playoffs.

Instead, the Herons are second-to-last in the Eastern Conference and five points out of a last playoff spot… behind New York City FC.

So, take the rankings for what you will.
