Three crucial players Inter Miami must renew without delay
Luis Suarez
Maybe the most difficult out of the three to make him play for one more year. His 37-year-old. The Herons must watch how he ends the season before offering him a new contract. He signed with Inter Miami in January of 2024. During his year in the club, the former FC Barcelona scored 16 goals and delivered eight assists in 25 games between MLS, Concacaf, and the Leagues Cup.
Being far from his best version, the Uruguayan striker still has gas in the tank for one more season. We've seen him struggle to make goals and run some balls, but that happens when you get old in this sport. In Suarez's case, he needs to re-adapt his playing style to get the best out of him because, inside the box, he is still the killer everyone knows.
The best outcome for him is to become a statical striker. ¿What do I mean by this? He has to stop looking for long passes and start to receive the ball in the center of the field, rebound the ball to Rojas or Gomez, and orchestrate the Heron's attack.
If Inter Miami succeeds in its renovation, I'll give him one more year until December 2025.
