Three Up, Three Down: Charlotte edges Inter Miami 1-0 on Decision Day, earns playoff spot

The Herons played Saturday’s match in Charlotte as though it were their last…which, thankfully, it was. For the final time this season, we spotlight the three Inter Miami players who played…better…and three who didn’t.

Gregore, B

It’s been good to see Gregore banging around the midfield the past two games, barking directions and bumping opponents off the ball. He was sidelined in the third match of the season with a serious foot injury and, in my opinion, his loss was the single-greatest factor in La Rosanegra’s disappointing spring. It’ll be fun to see how he and Sergio Busquets mesh in front of the back line next year.
