Three Up, Three Down: Inter Miami 2, New York Red Bulls 0

Robert Taylor (C-)

[KEN] Taylor has been a breakout star since Messi's arrival, tallying four goals and six assists since the July 21 match against Cruz Azul in Leagues Cup. He started Saturday, but was pulled after 60 minutes without really having much impact (although he was credited with a secondary assist on Gomez' first-half goal). The Finnish midfielder and wing relies on his technical skill, pace, and explosive first step to break down defenses. Two of those three ingredients seemed to be missing against the Red Bulls.

[MATT] Like Ruiz, I've been holding out hope that Taylor was going to hit a groove after the Leagues Cup.

It didn't happen on Saturday and he was subbed off at just the right time.

Look, I know everyone has an off day, but since the early knockout stages of the Leagues Cup, Taylor has been nonexistent. If Inter Miami is going to keep going at this pace, Taylor and even Josef Martinez are going to have to hit the mark and hit that mark often.
