Tadeo Allende's name will forever be etched in Inter Miami history.
Not only did the Argentine break the record books to become the first player in MLS history to score nine goals in the playoffs, but the 26-year-old did so in style:

The goals Allende scored during Miami's run to the MLS Cup and subsequent win were arguably world-class.

However, since going on that incredible run, Miami may have some trouble keeping the attacker at the club.
After the team's MLS Cup victory in early December, many Inter Miami fans were eager to find out if the team could keep most of the championship-winning squad together.
In MLS, it's notoriously difficult to repeat as back-to-back champions. Though Miami will try its hardest, they may have to do so without Allende in the future.
According to TyC Sports journalist Juan Cortese, Celta Vigo has reportedly listed Allende's transfer price at $10 million. Additionally, the team's sporting director, Marco Garcés, has confirmed that Miami has made an approach for Allende's services, but the two clubs remain at odds over valuation.
"Inter Miami expressed interest and made an approach. We are far apart on the numbers. Tadeo is scheduled to arrive here on January 2nd."Marco Garcés
A ten million dollar transfer fee would put Allende into the Designated Player range, something Miami wants to avoid as they seek to fill their third spot this winter with a higher profile player.
While Inter Miami is no stranger to players taking a pay cut to play alongside Lionel Messi, keeping Allende may come at a higher cost.
Still, the allure of moving into a new stadium and heading into the 2026 season as defending champions may help Miami in negotiations.
If Allende has his mind set on staying in Miami, that could give the club leverage in bringing down a potential transfer fee.
Ultimately, time will tell whether Miami can keep the winger on the roster. But, based on the club's other off-season moves, it seems that the Herons are focused on keeping the winning culture going, something that could include keeping Allende on the roster.
