The October international break is upon us. Whilst there are a couple of MLS games being played over this time, neither include Inter Miami. Let's take a look at which of Tato Martino's players are jetting off to represent their nations over the next 7-10 days.

First of all, the GOAT, Lionel Messi is off to represent Argentina for the first time since he won the Copa America, in Miami, back in July. Argentina will be playing World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia. The games will be played on the 10th and 15th October respectively, with 17:00 and 20:00 ET kick offs. We could see him add to his already incredible record with the national team.

David Ruiz has been named in the Honduras squad for CONCACAF nations league group games aainst French Guiana and and Jamaica. The games are on the 10th and 14th October respectively, with 15:30 and 21:00 ET kick offs.

Leonardo Campana, who scored the winner against Toronto last weekend, has been called up to the Ecuador squad for the first time in 11 months. His side will showdown with Paraguay and Uruguay in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers. The games are on the 10th and 14th October respectively, with kick off times being 17:00 and 19:30 ET.

Diego Gomez is in the Paraguay squad for their CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, against Campana's Ecuador and Venezuela. As mentioned above, the game vs Ecuador is on the 10th October at 17:00 ET, meanwhile the game against Venezuela is on the 15th October, 19:00 ET.

Messi's Argentina are currently top of CONMBEOL World Cup qualifying, with 18 points from eight games. Campana's Ecuador are the next best of the Inter Miami players called up, sitting in fourth place, with 11 points from eight games, which has them one point above Brazil. That too, with a three point deduction for fielding an ineligible player in the last qualifying campaign.

Gomez' Paraguay currently occupy seventh place. With the expanded format for the 2026 World Cup, this means that his side are currently in a play-off position, whilst in previous qualification campaigns they would need to be in fifth place for that. They have nine points so far, only one point behind Brazil - who they beat last time out.
